February Meeting: Underwater Photojournalism

Why do we take pictures underwater? For some divers, it’s as simple as making sure to have token mementos of unforgettable dives, but for some budding photographers the goal becomes more than to just take snapshots— to tell a story and have that story published and shown to the world.

At the February NYUPS meeting, we will be hearing from NYUPS-er Joseph Tepper on the topic of underwater photojournalism: the photography, the writing and even how to get published. As a photojournalism student at NYU, writer at the NY Daily News and Associate Editor of Divephotoguide, he has already gathered a great amount of experience in the journalism world even at a young age.
