\nDue to the properties of water, RED is the first color to disappear from the spectrum as we descend. Many times our subject looks like a m uted shade of gray, but then burst into its true brilliant color when bathed in our strobe lights.\n\nSo we dedicate the October meeting to the color RED.\n\nWeather you are shooting with a point & shoot or full frame DSLR come to the next NYUPS meeting and show how you captu red the color RED in all its splendor.\n\nWe encourage you to submit u p to 10 of your favorite shots that feature the color RED as a primary theme.\n\nIMAGE SPECS: The ideal size of each landscape orientation i mage is 10” wide x 7.5” high - no larger. If an image is portrait, the image should be no more than 7.5” high x whatever width (certai nly less than 10”.) If you size your images by pixels, the images sh ould be a maximum of 720 pixels wide by 540 pixels high for landscape, and 540 pixels high for portrait. All images should be 72 DPI, or pix els per inch, and .JPG file type.\n\nIf you would like to submit \"Red Videos\", please bring them to the meeting as Quicktime files on flas h drive, CD or DVD. Videos should be clips less then 5 minutes each.\n \nIn your email, on the subject line please type in caps “NYUPS imag es- RED\". Please email all your images to Steve Edelstein at unclstevie@aol.com .\n\nDate of submission: Images will be cheerfully accepted for the up coming meeting until the Sunday evening before the meeting. Any images submitted after that cannot be included. You will receive a confirmat ion of the receipt of your images.
