We are proud to continue our summer series of monthly meetings on August 5th.
At our next monthly meeting we would like to feature local/regional or other cold water work of our members and discuss the images and videos and share tips in a similar format as the macro and wide angle nights we had in June and July.
Please note that you do not need to submit images to attend the meeting -please feel free to just come and enjoy the images and learn a little about shooting locally or generally in cooler water with less viability than the tropics.
Again, this is not a competition. The idea is to show your best work and let other underwater photographers know your techniques and the thought process that went into the images.
Please submit up to 8 of your best local or cold water photos to Steve Edelstein email@example.com. The images should be 72 DPI and no larger 10" on the longest side. For videos, please bring them to the meeting as quicktime files. Videos should be clips less then 5 minutes each.
We look forward to seeing your images and sharing food and drink with you at Artctica Bar & Grill!!
As always, the admission to the event is free, but only by RSVP. Please RSVP to rsvp@NYUPS.org
When: Aug 5, 2008 – 7:00 PM
Where: Arctica Bar & Grill
384 Third Avenue (Between 27th & 28th)
The format of the monthly meetings is informal compared to our theater events. These meetings will not have an open bar and the venue has been gracious enough to provide us the space for these meetings. Attendees are encouraged to order food and drinks to help support the venue – so come hungry and thirsty and get ready to share and enjoy some great underwater imagery!
