Special Note: This months meeting is on the 2nd Tuesday.
While most divers travel to warm water locations, some of the best diving is in cold water. Join NYUPS founder Larry Cohen as he takes you to some of the best cold water diving destinations in North America. In this seminar Larry will talk about how to produce images and be comfortable even when icicles are forming on your dome port.
Besides talking about the problems and solutions for successful underwater photography in cold water, Larry will show images from our local waters, and the wrecks in the St Lawrence River. We will continue North to the cold waters of Newfoundland to experience wrecks, whalebones and icebergs. On the west coast, we will explore the cool and clear waters of the California Channel Islands and than head north to British Columbia.
We want to stress that all of our meetings are for photographers of all levels. It doesn't matter what camera you use or how long you've been shooting, NYUPS wants to share the joys of underwater imaging with everyone interested.
As always, the admission to the event is free, but only by RSVP. Please RSVP to
We look forward to seeing you and sharing food and drink at Artctica Bar & Grill!!
