November 2, 2010 10:00 pm
January 16, 2012
Arctica Bar & Grill
384 3rd Ave (27th & 28th st), New York, NY, United States

More and more photographers are trying their hand at video. With both Point & Shoot and DSLR cameras doing a great job capturing video this is a natural transition. Many of you shared your videos at our September meeting. We saw both raw footage as well as edited productions. It seemed that everyone wanted to learn more about video editing.
At our November meeting, join us for a presentation on editing by NYUPS members Ron Chau and Michael Rothschild. Covered topics will include transitions, soundtracks, narration, titles, picture-in-picture, the use of "Ken Burns" style still photos and adjustments in color, contrast, exposure and cropping.
Ron will go over the Windows side of editing with a discussion on Windows Movie Maker. This is a FREE program that comes with Windows.
Michael will cover iMovie for those of us that use Macintosh computers. This popular program is also included FREE with every new Mac. It is easy to use yet extremely powerful.
NYUPS wants to share the joys of underwater imaging with everyone interested. So invite all your friends, new photographers, videographers and divers who are thinking about getting into underwater imaging. Everyone can benefit from this evening.
As always, the admission to the event is free, but only by RSVP. Please RSVP to We look forward to seeing everyone and sharing food and drink with you at Artctica Bar & Grill!
