At February’s meeting Matt, and Jason showed their Cenote images. Larry talked about cave diving and cave photography. Overhead environments do take special training and special imaging techniques. That being said many recreational divers capture images of swim throughs, piers, and short safe overhead areas.
At the April NYUPS lets see your images of these overhead environments! We want to see your images from under piers, short coral passages or deep long penetrations underground, under ice, or inside wrecks. Send us 10 of your favorite images from areas you just can’t surface from.
The ideal size of each landscape orientation image is 10” wide x 7.5” high – no larger. If an image is portrait, the image should be no more than 7.5” high x whatever width (certainly less than 10”.) If you size your images by pixels, the images should be a maximum of 720 pixels wide by 540 pixels high for landscape, and 540 pixels high for portrait. All images should be 72 DPI, or pixels per inch, and .JPG file type.
If you would like to submit "Videos", please bring them to the meeting as Quicktime files on flash drive, CD or DVD. Videos should be clips less then 5 minutes each. Please email us if you are going to bring a video.
In your email, on the subject line please type in caps “NYUPS images – “Overhead”
Please email all your images to Steve Edelstein at firstname.lastname@example.org
Date of submission-
Since Steve will be away diving Images will be cheerfully accepted for the upcoming meeting until 03/25/11. Please make sure images are submitted before that date. Any images submitted after that cannot be included. You will receive a confirmation of the receipt of your images. If you don’t, please contact Steve Edelstein at email@example.com , and cc Larry Cohen at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note that you do not need to submit images to attend the meeting – feel free to just come and enjoy the social! We want to stress that all of our meetings are for photographers of all levels. It doesn't matter what camera you use or how long you've been shooting, NYUPS wants to share the joys of underwater imaging with everyone interested.
As always, the admission to the event is free, but only by RSVP. Please RSVP to rsvp@NYUPS.org.
We look forward to seeing your images and sharing food and drink with you at Arctica Bar & Grill!!
